Marina Cleanup 27th November
Jaysis the mornings are getting cold! A brisk 5 degrees greeted us all at the Marina this morning. All the best intentions were had of getting the river pegs cleaned up but the Barrow had a different plan. Water levels are back up after some torrential rain last week, back up over the pegs making it impossible to cut weeds. Looking unlikely the next winter league match will get to be hosted there! Here’s hoping a turn in the weather will bring us some dry days.
Not to worry though, the Marina was in need of some care and attention. A damaged entry gate, some insecure fencing and a distinct lack of signs needed to be sorted.
The gate was by far the biggest task, with new metal stakes drove in to keep it straight & stable alongside freshly fitted galvanize and finally our normal signage returns to its rightful place. Overall much happier with how the entrance to the Marina is looking now, just like new!
Few pics below. Mostly of Noel working and the rest of us supervising, which is a very critical and necessary role…which is what we keep telling him! :)
