Fishing in Athy

Athy is a well-established fishing destination with everything in place to ensure that the visiting coarse angler enjoys a successful fishing experience. Within the town we have multiple excellent venues for coarse fishing including The Marina, The Grand Canal and The River Barrow. Athy & District Anglers Club control the fishing rights to these venues within the town, with the Marina being a members-only venue. Matches are regularly organized by the club in the Athy area. Fishing on the River Barrow and the Grand Canal is free but membership of the club is available should anglers wish to support us and get involved with the club. Take a look at what we do to support fishing in the Athy area and why not get involved with us to build up your fishing network and maybe pick up some local expertise along the way!
